Museums for All: Art Is for Everyone

At Starts with Arts, we believe this down to our bones: art heals, art expands imagination, and art belongs to all of us—at every age.

In a moment when our nation is facing a very real mental health crisis, the arts are not a luxury add-on. They are a lifeline. Art slows the nervous system. It gives language to feelings we don’t yet have words for. It invites curiosity, wonder, and connection—things humans need just as much as food and shelter.

Access to the arts and arts education is the root of our organization and the heart of our work. Economic struggle should never block someone from experiencing beauty, creativity, or inspiration. We don’t gatekeep. We don’t rank worthiness.
Art is for sharing. Art is for healing. Art is for imagining better futures. Art is for us all.

That’s why we proudly support and uplift the Museums for All initiative.

What Is Museums for All?

Museums for All is a nationwide access program that ensures individuals and families receiving SNAP benefits can visit participating museums at free or deeply reduced admission—typically $0 to $3 per person.

More than 1,400 museums across the United States participate in this program. The full national list is available directly through Museums for All, because access should be easy, visible, and celebrated—not hidden behind fine print.

We are deeply grateful to Museums for All and the cultural institutions that understand this truth: public art should actually be public.
